Matt LeBlanc, the actor is most famous for his role of Joey in the series, Friends. We all know Joey as a guy who is crazy for two things, food and sex. Joey in the series plays a struggling actor and the guy to whom his friends are the most important people in the world.

Matthew is the son of Paul LeBlanc and Pat Grossman. He is of mixed Irish, English, Dutch and French ancestry. Ever since his child hood Matt had a passion for bikes and at the age of eight he got his first bike and started participating in racing competitions. But because his mother did not like his idea of biking she forced him to choose for a better employment option and then Matt learned carpentry, in which he was skilled. After completing his high school, Matt took admission in Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, but after the first semester he left the college.

Somehow he became attracted towards television and in late 1980’s he started doing television ads. He did ads for brands like Heinz, Levi’s, 7 Up and Coca-Cola. Matt enjoyed his acting because he was getting lot of money. He in fact stated that with only one commercial of ketchup he was able to buy a house, a car, a motorcycle, and a wardrobe full of clothes. In 1988, Matt got his first acting assignment with a regular role on ‘TV 101’. He was then seen in spin off ‘Married With Children’ entitled ‘Top of the Heap.’ After that he fetched a role on ‘Friends’ and that turned out to be one factor that changed his everything in his life. After ‘Friends’ came to an end in 2004, he begin working on Joey the only Friends daughter series so far. The series focuses on Joey’s life after ‘Friends’. But the series was cancelled in 2006. Since then Joey has not appeared on television and is working on his own company, Fort Hill Productions.

While he was in the cast of Friends, Joey was nominated for three consecutive years for the category of best actor in a comic role in Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. In 2000, he won Editor’s Choice in TV Guide Awards for Friends.

Coming down to his personal life, Matt LeBlanc was married to his girlfriend of six years, Melissa McKnight. But only after three years of marriage the couple got separated. Matt also had a daughter with Melissa, by the name Marina Pearl LeBlanc. The actor is currently dating actress Andrea Anders.
